Can the pharmacy mail pet meds to the US?

Yes. Customs will allow us to mail you a 90 day supply, followed by 3 refills if the prescription is written for 1 year.  There is no restriction on the quantity of non-prescription medications, such as the ones used for flea prevention. Also, there is no restriction on the number of prescriptions we can fill for your pet.

How much does it cost to have the pet meds mailed to me?

There is a $9.95 US shipping fee per pet for an unlimited number of prescriptions (Cold pack items are $15.95 US). All prescriptions will be authorized for a 1 year period, if indicated by the veterinarian and will be honoured from the date on the prescription form. All pet meds prices include prescribing fee and pharmacy dispensing fee.

Why are your prescription prices so low?

The Canadian government limits how much pharmaceutical manufacturers can charge for brand-name drugs when they are approved and caps subsequent price increases. As well, in Canada generics become available 5 years earlier.

How much money will I save?

Most patients save 40-70% on their pet med orders, which can be hundreds of dollars per visit.

Are the pet meds the same as what I get in the U.S.?

Yes.  Some pet meds have different brand names.  Generic medications are the same as brand names but tend to be much cheaper.  If your medication is not available or is available only in a different form, we will notify you or your veterinarian ahead of time.

If I don't see the pet meds on your price list, does that mean you don't carry them?

The pharmacy carries a much broader selection of prescription pet meds than those listed.  If you don't see the drug you are looking for please call our office 1-877-536-8162 or Fax: 1-888-536-8192 or email info@onlinepharmaciescanada.com.

How long will it take for me to receive them by mail?

What is your return policy?

The Pharmacist shall not accept the return for use or re-use of any portion of any drug or non-prescription medication (College of Pharmacists Bylaw 5 (33. subsection 1)).

The pharmacy will send a 90 day supply of your pet meds unless you give specifics to the veterinarian's office. For prescription pet meds the pharmacy can ship a maximum of a 90 day supply as per US FDA and US Customs rules.

Generic substitution is automatic unless the particular medication is only available in Brand name. Please refer to the price list on the website that clearly states if a medication is a generic version of the Brand name drug.
